The Difficult Problems Corpus

Expert-authored, provenance-linked cases for professional reasoning, AI evaluation and decision support.

What it is

A structured collection of difficult professional reasoning problems derived from original, rights-managed work and reviewed before release.

Why it exists

Fluent output is not enough. Difficult work requires known and unknown facts, evidence and conflicting evidence, uncertainty, constraints, risks, decision criteria, and appropriate next actions.

How release works

Original source → machine-assisted structuring → provenance → rights and privacy checks → human review → release decision → sanitized public export.

Machine structuring cannot grant human clearance. Public release is intentionally conservative.

Public cases

Public demonstration cases are under active development and will be released only after human, provenance, privacy, and rights review.

What a future case may contain

Problem, context, known and unknown facts, evidence, uncertainty, risks, reasoning, recommended action, citations, outcome where known, provenance, and review state.

Methodology

Private source material never flows directly to this website. Only a deliberately approved, allowlist-only public export can supply a public case.
