Can Anything Be Finished?
By Sonny Saggar
Planned book · Working title · No publication date announced
A book ends. A building opens. The work continues. What does it mean to call something finished?
A place to begin
A meal can be ready while the kitchen still needs cleaning. Finished depends partly on the task being judged.
A question worth arguing with
Who chooses the completion test, and who lives with what it leaves out?
Try this
Write a completion test for a small task before starting it. Review whether the test captured its real purpose.
This is a new introductory companion to the proposed book’s subject, not an extract from a completed manuscript.
